Many patios and gardens need drainage channels and until recently the only choice available were stainless steel ladder style covers. While these are effective, they are certainly not attractive, so we were delighted to find a beautiful alternative.

Supplied by Lateral Design Studio, these beautiful cast iron channel gratings become a design feature of any garden, adding an exceptional decorative feature.

In the example shown here, the gratings abut tumbled edge limestone setts. They work together stunningly as you can see in this urban courtyard garden.
