Transforming a Driveway

A smart driveway makes a great first impression and will enhance the exterior of your home. Before we embarked on the transformation of this driveway it was pretty unremarkable. The fence was a humdrum shade of orange that did not match the wood storage cupboards adjacent to the garage.

The old Indian sandstone paving looked tired, so we changed it for porcelain paving with an edging soldier course of multi bricks. With the almost endless choice in design, colours and sizes available in porcelain – porcelain paving is a product almost too good to be true!

The gravel driveway was laid in stabilising matting to prevent the shingle from moving around the driveway, making it easy for wheeling bikes and bins over. Transforming a Driveway – Black is the Colour!

Finally a great example of how effective painting boundaries black is. The fence and storage cupboards were painted back providing a great backdrop to the plants and the driveway.

Black is a great colour for a fence. It allows green foliage stand out, giving added dimension, interest and depth to your garden.
