Narrow Garden Landscaping Ideas
This very long, narrow garden in Teddington is they type of project that we love…literally a blank canvas for us to transform into a beautiful outdoor space.
The design visually broadens the garden by creating a sinuous journey from one end of the garden to the other. Raised vertical sleeper beds and a pergola give instant vertical interest (whilst the planting establishes and provides more over the next few years!). The tumbled sandstone setts provide a characterful path leading through the lawns arriving at the Jura Limestone terrace in front of the new gym located at the end of the garden.
The shaping of the planting areas, derived from the curves within the structure of the garden, allow for deeper and narrower planting areas, giving this element of the garden authority without creating unmanageable areas of planting.
We look forward to seeing the garden mature and fill out over the next few years.
